The hat is worked in one piece and in the round with multi colourwork in 6 different colours. The colourwork is designed with slipped stitches ( also called linen stitch), so you only knit with 1 colour at a time, which is very easy to handle. The colourwork is shown in a chart.

The pattern is ideal for left-over yarn that you have in your stash, and for “ I am afraid of faire isle”-people like me.

When I picked the colours for my version, I tried to include a difference in brightness
within the colours.
For instance, a light and dark grey, and also a bright and dark blue.
On colour option is to stay rather monochrome in one colour family combined with neutral colours such as grey and white. But then, it is the quite interesting to include a
small contrast in colour.
As blue is my main colour, I included a little bit of mustard to have a small eyecatcher
and colour contrast. in this case, the blue colours come out more lively and striking.

Happy Knitting!

Das Muster eignet sich auch sehr gut für Wolle Reste, und perfekt geeignet auch für all diejenigen, die zwar bunte Strickmuster mögen, aber von Norwegermustern überfordert sind… so wie ich :)
