PATTERN: “Thank you Pep”

THANK YOU PEP!  You are amazing, you are a football trainer who’s wearing knitted loops in the football stadium during the champions league!

And because of you, other men are now also keen on wearing knitted cowls and they feel stylish!

The cowl is worked in one piece and twisted once when joining. It is a fast knit and was done within 1 or 2 evenings, here is how:

Notions:

  • Wool: 300g /6 skeins of  Wolle Rödel “Polar” in navy, approx. 285 m
  • Needles: long circular needle 8mm / US 11
  • Gauge: 11.0 sts = 10 cm / 4 inches

Pattern:

CO 202 sts.

Row 1:[K 2, P 2 ] repeat  to 4 sts before end of row, k 4. Jion in the round. Be careful TO TWIST the stitches!

Row 2:[K 2, P 2 ] repeat to marker, slm, K4,. continue for the next 8 rounds.

Row 11: Twist the cable at the end: [K 2, P 2 ] repeat to marker, slm, twist the cable in the last 4 stitches:

place next 2 sts on stitch holder, k2, k sts from holder.

Repeat Row 2 for 10 times.

Row 22: Work as indicated in row 11.

Repeat Row 2 for 10 times.

Row 33: Work as indicated in row 11.

Repeat Row 2 for 10 times.

BO all sts. Weave in all ends.
